MagniLink MacViewer – software for Mac
MagniLink MacViewer is an innovative software that is used to display the image from a MagniLink video magnifier on a Mac computer. The software controls the video magnifier´s features such as magnification, color and brightness, and provides the user with the facility to make individual adjustments for the best possible experience.

Functionality of MagniLink MacViewer:
- Different color and brightness settings, e.g. natural and artificial colors.
- Different levels of magnification.
- Lockable autofocus.
- Take and view pictures.
- Record and view videos.
- Mirror, rotate and freeze pictures.
- Various guidelines to facilitate reading.
- Now possible to change and adapt the product even more in EUC tab (End User Configuration).
- Different ways to control functions. Either via menus, keyboard shortcuts or buttons on the reading camera’s control panel.
- Configuration of own shortcuts.
- Camera image positioned at top/front of all open applications.
- Select and switch between several views.
- Programable camera positions for motorized MagniLink cameras.
- Support for multiple video streams and split screen between them, such as the use of multiple simultaneous cameras in the MagniLink AIR family.
Options:
The TTS option makes it possible to OCR process text and have it read aloud. The OCR processed text can be displayed in several different picture views. It´s possible to OCR process text from a picture taken with the connected MagniLink camera, and it is also possible to import other documents into the application to have them OCR processed. It´s also possible to paste text into the application.
Recommended system requirements:
- macOS Big Sur or later.
- 1 integrated USB 3.0-port.
General:
MagniLink MacViewer is designed for Mac computers. There is similar software, although not with exactly the same functionality, for PC and Chromebook respectively.

Below you can download the software MagniLink MacViewer that enables your MagniLink Video Magnifier to operate with your Mac computer. The software is free to download but if you don´t have a licensed MagniLink camera the words “Unvalid license” will be present at the screen. After a few minutes the picture will disappear. If you want to test a few more minutes you can restart the camera again.

Bug fixes
- Previously, cameras could only be set to 30hz when using Sonoma. Customization for Sonoma now allows them to be set to 60hz.
- Approval of “Location Services” is required in Sonoma. This has been solved with a dialog box with direct access to the setting.
- Frames around OCR text were incorrect in Sonoma but this has now been fixed.
- Command to open the user manual has changed from Cmd + ? to F12
- OCR voices previously crashed in Sonoma but this is now fixed.
- Other minor bug fixes.
Known issues
- Rotation and mirroring do not reflect when saving images.
- Mirroring does not reflect on video recording.
- Long time to post-process a video recording.
- When pasting long texts, OCR processing takes a long time.
- Artificial colors may become incorrect after settings done in EUC (End User Configuration).
