Ability 2 Access, established in 2017, includes Julie Akers, the Owner; Kendall Akers, their Account Manager; and Teresa Kesling, their Bookkeeper. Julie has served in the industry since 2008, and the company has been involved with LVI since April 2018. Julie’s passion for this field stems from a personal connection, as several of her family members have macular degeneration – an eye condition resulting in central vision loss. Inspired by her father's involvement with the Lions Club and her early childhood experiences helping at the Rehabilitation Center for the Blind, she is committed to supporting those who strive to remain independent. A fun fact about Julie is that both of her parents are from London, England!

Christal Vision

Christal Vision, established in 1996, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of legally blind and low vision individuals through cutting-edge assistive technology. The team, comprising of Ed Christal, Chip Lanning, Mark Mathews, Bobby Lakey, Jack Hickman, and Steve Rhodes, began selling LVI products around 2004. One of the most rewarding aspects of their work is restoring independence to their community members who face challenges with daily tasks such as reading and writing. At Christal Vision, the commitment to meeting individual needs with the latest technology is unwavering.

Magnifiers & More

Magnifiers & More, established in 2002, is led by President Deborah Kogler, CFO Jeffrey, and Low Vision Consultant Peggy Rhodes. Deborah's journey in the eyecare industry, as well as her association with LVI, began in 1980. Her involvement in the field was driven by her grandmother's battle with macular degeneration – an eye condition resulting in central vision loss. This experience inspired her to create a company dedicated to assisting those with low vision. Deborah's commitment to her work is encapsulated in her favorite Helen Keller quote: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." A fun fact about Magnifiers & More is their incredibly loyal CFO, Jeffrey, is trained as a service dog. He serves as the Canine Fun Officer and frequently earns the "Pawriffic Employee of the Month."

Mountain View Low Vision Services, established in 2018, is run by President Cheryl Saucier. LVI was their very first product line. With over 30 years of experience working with people with vision loss in clinical and agency settings, Cheryl has witnessed the transformative impact of the right assistive technology. The company's tagline, "Let us help you become more than what you cannot see at home, at school, at work, and at play," reflects its mission. Cheryl finds it a privilege to support the vision loss community and demonstrate the possibilities that the right tools can unlock. Cheryl’s fun fact is that she is the proud mother of 25-year-old triplets and has lived to tell the tale – so far!

Quintex Low Vision, established in 1989, is run by co-owners Frank and Edna Beard. The pair are driven by their passion for helping the wonderful people in the Carolinas, whom they have proudly served for many decades. Since 2013, they have been actively involved with LVI. They have a few fun facts to share; Frank is a Kansas City BBQ Society Certified Master Judge, while Edna cherishes spending time with her grandchildren, Jase (14) and Jenna (8). Both Frank and Edna love and adore their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Charlotte and Olive.
