LVI is now launching AI Phase 2

May 22, 2025

We are now launching AI phase 2, meaning that the AI option in our software for iPad, MagniLink Viewer, has received a number of new features in addition to those previously introduced. It is now possible to interpret and read out handwriting, as well as use image interpretation to describe objects, images, and diagrams.

Handwriting

With OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and TTS (Text to Speech), it has been possible to scan, interpret and read out printed text. In the past, it has been difficult to interpret handwriting effectively. With the help of AI technology users can now get help from their video magnifier and have handwritten notes, letters, and more presented on the screen and read aloud.

Image interpretation

With image interpretation, new and exciting possibilities open up. Here are some examples of what the technology can be used for:

  • Describe objects in front of the camera
  • Interpret graphs, tables, and diagrams
  • Mathematics
  • Description of images
  • Description of rooms and environments

Learn more here about how the different features can be used and how to access the AI features. Users who have already purchased an AI license will gain access to the new AI features introduced in phase 2 by updating the app.
