LVI America, Inc. is pleased to announce we have acquired our first subsidiary – Mountain View Low Vision Services, in Hixson, Tennessee. Cheryl Saucier, founding the company in 2018, retains part ownership. Cheryl joins Kimberly Cline, Sales Director, and Catherine Trombley, Marketing Manager. The three will work together to bring LVI’s high-end video magnifiers to people with vision loss.
MVLVS, whose motto is “Become more than what you cannot see at home, school, work, and play,” is a long-time reseller of LVI Low Vision International (LVI) products. Cheryl shares her excitement with the new agreement:
“I am very happy that LVI is joining as an owner. LVI has been our largest supplier throughout the history of the company. I have long appreciated the high quality of their products and have grown to respect the leadership and corporate culture. This acquisition allows me to reinforce my value of providing the very best products to change the lives of people with vision impairments. In addition, I look forward to partnering with LVI to grow the brand in the US market.”

For LVI America, Inc. the acquisition offers a strengthened long-term presence in the US market, which has grown in importance in recent years. In addition to Sales and Marketing personnel in Las Vegas and Vermont, LVI America, Inc. maintains a warehouse and a service center in other locations. The acquisition will contribute to an increased market share, and continue LVI America’s high level of personal, specialized service to US customers.
LVI America, Inc. is a subsidiary of LVI Low Vision International in Sweden. Henrik Blomdahl, the CEO, has this to say about LVI America’s recent acquisition:
“The US market is a large and important market for LVI; LVI America, Inc. has been a successful subsidiary for several years. By acquiring MVLVS, we strengthen our position and take an important step to further grow in the US market. The timing is favorable because we are rebuilding our headquarters in Sweden to increase our production and storage capacity to adapt to an increased demand today and in the future. Through the acquisition, LVI solidifies our position as one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of vision aids and closely related products.”
